Technology is your best friend and worst enemy..the point is how you make use of technology wisely. When we talk about crossdressing most of us are very concerned about our true identity should not be revealed to anyone at any cost. But without giving any second thought or due to lack of knowledge we make a lot of mistakes.
1. Mobile:
Never use the same mobile for your Male and Female social media accounts. The reason behind this is most of the social media companies like Facebook, Instagram and all will access your contacts and will send your profile as friend recommendations to your contacts. This will create a big mess. Recently I have noticed one more issue with the messenger. One of my friends is chatting with me with her CD account on messenger and saying his colleagues came to know about his CDing and during the chat all of a sudden, I got the reply to my chat from his male profile. This switching happened accidentally or due to any bug in the software that I am not sure about. But his identity got compromised.
The solution to the problem: Use a separate mobile for your female account and try to not to save any common contacts in both the mobiles. This works well but can’t assure you that it is a panacea for all your technical issues. Social media companies will check for the other devices on the same network(home wifi) and contacts in the devices..so you are not 100% safe.
2. Browser:
Most of us use one common browser for everything even though we have multiple browsers installed on our laptops and PCs. When we open our male FB account and female FB account side by side or at different points in time there is also a fair chance of your friends on your male FB may get your friend request.
The solution to this problem: Always use the incognito window of your browser. Google it where to find it for your respective browser.
One final tip, if you are not using your male social media accounts then it's time to think whether to keep them or delete them. I deleted all my male social media accounts long back because I don't see any value addition in my personal life. Always remember your privacy is always there in your hands. So, be cautious and be mindful while using tech.
