Lakshmi woke me up one day, Deeksha didi wake up..wake up..today is a very special day for you. I really didn't understand what she was saying. I brushed my teeth and entered into the hall and was enjoying a cup of coffee. Mom said, Deeksha, today is your birthday and I have some arrangements for you.

I was surprised and happy at the same time. It's been a long time since anyone celebrated my birthday. My parents were never too fond of birthdays and they used to celebrate it in a very simple way. But here, my boss who only knew me as Varun, remembered my birthday and made arrangements for it. I then realised that my birthday is also happened to be Deeksha's birthday as well...wow.. What a coincidence.

Mom asked me to get ready quickly as we have a lot planned for the day. She said that we will be going out for shopping and lunch, just like how she used to celebrate Deeksha's birthday.

I dressed up in one of Deeksha's beautiful dresses and applied light makeup. Lakshmi helped me with my hair and we left for shopping.

It felt amazing to shop with mom just like how I used to do with my own mother in the past. We tried on different clothes, ate street food and took lots of pictures together.

After shopping, mom took me to a fancy restaurant for lunch. She ordered all my favourite dishes and pampered me like her own daughter.

On our way back home, we bought a cake and some decorations to celebrate my birthday at home with Lakshmi.

As soon as we reached home, mom gave me a gift box wrapped beautifully in pink paper with ribbons on top. Inside was a beautiful necklace which had Deeksha's initials engraved on it.

Tears rolled down from my eyes as I hugged mom tightly. She didn't even know that those were Deeksha's initials but somehow it felt like she knew everything about me.

We cut the cake, clicked more pictures and had a great time together.

After enjoying my coffee, I went to my room and started getting ready for the day. As I entered my room, Lakshmi handed me a peach ghagra choli. She said it’s your birthday gift from mom. I was surprised and thanked both mom and Lakshmi for their love and care.

Lakshmi helped me wear the ghagra choli and then Neelima aunty who is a personal beautician of Mom came in to work her magic on me. She started with waxing my whole body, giving me smooth skin like a baby. Then she did my eyebrows in an arch shape, making them look perfect. Next, she pierced my ears and belly button, adding some beautiful studs that matched the color of my outfit.

While Neelima aunty was working her magic, mom entered the room with a box in her hand. She said it’s a surprise gift for you Deeksha. I opened the box to find a beautiful diamond necklace inside. One more necklace for the day. With tears rolled down my cheeks as I thanked mom for the precious gift and told to Mom, Mom you already gave one necklace in the morning and you are giving me one more now. Why Mom..and Mom replied Daughters are more precious to their Mom's than necklaces and I am giving necklace to my daughther only. So, what's the big deal about it.

Neelima aunty continued to work on me by giving me a facial waxing, making sure that every inch of my face was shiny and smooth like before. She also attached some extensions to my hair and curled them into beautiful waves.

With the help of padded bra and padded panties, Neelima aunty and Lakshmi helped me attain the curves of a woman. I was fascinated by how realistic it looked and felt. Then, they handed me a gorgeous peach ghagra choli to wear for my birthday. I was hesitant at first, but they assured me that it would look beautiful on me.

Neelima aunty started doing my makeup. She applied foundation, concealer and powder to give me a flawless base. She then did my eye makeup with shades of pink and gold, making my eyes pop. For the lips, she chose a light pink shade that complimented the rest of my look.

As I looked at myself in the mirror, I couldn't believe how beautiful I looked as Deeksha. The extensions in my hair gave me long luscious curls and Neelima aunty had put a round bindi on my forehead to complete the traditional look.

As I looked into the mirror, I couldn’t believe how beautiful and different I looked from before. My long hair falling gracefully over my shoulders, along with the perfectly done makeup made me feel like a princess.
