Gangamma Jatara 2024 – Visit to Tirupathi Balaji temple – Part 2

Someone once said Karma is like a boomerang.. Whatever you give will come back to you..Don't think too much, I haven't done anything wrong to anyone but I once said something with sheer ignorance in 2015 came back to me with a reality. So, choose your words..again I am saying I haven't said anything wrong in my past but I learned a lesson recently.

Now coming to the point without beating around the bush any further. During my visit to Gangamma jatara every year I always miss something which is Tirumala Tirupathi Balaji darshan. I go uphill to Tirumala and pray to God by breaking a coconut in front of the temple and pray to God to forgive me for not doing darshan. This time some miracle happened...
This time I was accompanied by my trans friends(I don't like to label anyone by their gender, but I mentioned it for a reason and you will come to know about it in this blog) Nisha and Nishika who happened to be mother and daughter. Their sheer love for each other makes their presence magical and I love their company like anything. This time one of their cousins accompanied them called Charan. He is a very funny guy and always cracks jokes with his sheer innocence.

A lady doctor from Hyderabad accompanied them. Her first impression of me is that I am also a trans like Nisha and Nishika. But I told her everything about me and even showed her photos of my family. She was close to me initially thinking I was trans but when she came to know about my true identity that I am a CD she maintained some distance from me. Nothing rude as such, she was not just as close as before. I felt bad at one point but I realized it was her choice. I respect her decision but she is a good friend of mine forever. I respect her and I really admire her fun-loving nature. We all thoroughly enjoyed her company.

Dear Friends, A humble request to all my friends who have given a TV interview in TV5 telugu news channel. You guys came from a long way and doesn't have respect for the feelings of local CD's...that tv channel telecast the event and shown that in scrolling more than 10 times on that day under the name of " BHAKTA HIJRAS"(I think no need to translate this into any of our Indian languages...if required in english DEVOTEE EUNUCHS)....if money goes no problem but respect goes its tough to get it back....See friends, you know about the dress code in Tirupathi and lot of seniors like Radhaa Rani didi, Sunita Pink mausi and others guided you on this but whatever you wore and roamed on roads(even coming from one hotel to another) is not correct. One can wear whatever they want to wear inside the hotel premises. South India is considered to be more traditional when compared to other parts of India...so one should be a Roman when u r in Rome.... Since I have FB access I don't think,I can writer whatever that comes on my mind ...I have respect for others feelings also....So finally I am concluding this post by sharing the experience I had...My close childhood friend who knows abt my cding n tirupathi trip called me an asked me whether these people belongs to your group or what...and he told me about the news on tv...if any of ur family members watch that and able to figure it out what will happen...just think...think once n twice... Added to this, never ever blame someone who takes the lead...if you are not satisfied with your leader try to be a leader or a good follower or try your luck in some other group....A leader will never ask someone to follow him and it's your decision that made you to follow the leader...so self-assessment is required before blaming others... with love, Meghana Dixit.

This time I thought of going to Tirumala for Balaji darshan but I don't have darshan tickets. Then came Nisha for my rescue. She said why worry about darshan tickets sister when I am there for you. I asked her what's her plan. Nisha explained to me that I have to take the role of her Guru and then understood I should play the role of a trans and visit the temple along with them. Initially, I was not sure whether I would be able to do it or not. With Nisha and Nishika's encouragement, I decided to go ahead and do it. Nisha, Nishika, and Ms. Doctor wore beautiful silk sarees and I wore a Narayana peta cotton half saree with a big golden border. This cotton half saree always makes me very comfortable and comfortable attire is always the best choice for Tirumala Balaji darshan because we never know how much time it will take for darshan.

So, we took a bus to Tirumala and after getting down there for the first time in my life I used the women's toilet. After coming out of that washroom I felt like I crossed one milestone in the adventures of cross-dressing. With a smiling face, I came out of the washroom and Nisha noticed a smile on my face and teased me by asking how was the experience. I said first time I entered into a ladies' toilet in my whole life. We then took some shortcuts and skipped some queues for darshan, I simply followed Nisha and Nishika's footsteps and we went directly to the police check post. I was not scared of the police at all as I was having the company of my beautiful ladies. Everywhere Nisha addressed me as her Guru matha to the Tirumala staff and police. We then went to one of the control rooms, then Nishika took charge of the situation and playfully started teasing the executives with all her charm and beauty. We were offered some snacks and Tea and requested us to wait for some 3 hours before they can leave the public for darshan. Finally, time has come for our darshan and we were joined into the queue From here the fun part started. We formed a queue and the queue order goes like this Nishika, Nisha, Ms. Doctor, Charan and myself. Nishika clapped her signature trans clapping and asked people to move aside and give way for us. Some pilgrims looked at us strangely, some with discomfort, and some onlookers looked at our beauty. Later we were given more time for darshan by the temple staff and offered us special laddu (sweet we get as prasad of Lord Balaji) then we came out of the temple premises and took some photos to make that experience memorable throughout our lifetime.

In the overall experience of Balaji darshan one thing that keep on reminding me of the statement that I posted on FB on 14th May 2015. It was my opinion during that time about some of the CD's who behaved differently during their Tirumala visit and given interview to a local news channel. Since all my posts on FB are exclusively for my friends here I am posting the post for you all. We can go for darshan as woman no one stops you but since it's a place with sanctity you should maintain certain decorum in Tirupathi. If you don't want to be disciplined in Tirumala(Tirupathi) better not to go. Tirupathi local people respect our community a lot especially during Gangamma Jatara so none of us(CD and Trans community) have any right to break their faith in us. My humble request to you all is to be more responsible.

P.S: The next blog is going to be about the panic situation at the temple and my interaction with a female cop at Gangamma temple
