I am feeling extremely lonely and heavy-hearted after hearing the most painful news — the sudden demise of my dear friend Vijay Anand, lovingly and popularly known as Ananda Anand(Nandini) in our Indian CD community.
He is part of my every initiative to make our community more inclusive and is always a supporter and contributor of cdstories.in and rainbowprompts.com
Anand’s journey was very special. He initially started as a crossdresser admirer, quietly observing and understanding the world of femininity. Slowly, with courage and curiosity, he began exploring it himself through crossdressing. One day, he told me something that stayed with me — that I had inspired him to take this step. At that time, even though he was a good friend, I honestly did not take his words very seriously.
We all will leave this world one day — sooner or later. But before that day comes, please try to spend quality time with your loved ones. Speak your heart. Meet people when you get the chance. Live your life honestly and fearlessly, as if today is your last day.
But life has a way of teaching us lessons when we least expect them.
One unforgettable day, while I was about to board a train to Tirupati Ganga Jatara, Anand surprised me by introducing his wife to me at the railway station. What shocked me the most was what she said next — Anand had shown her my dressing photos, and she had accepted and supported his interest in crossdressing. I was truly surprised and deeply moved. That moment made me realize the level of trust, openness, and love that existed in his family.
After that, Anand stayed in regular touch with me. I even visited his home once. He had a beautiful, loving family, and he lived his life with honesty and warmth. That is why this news has completely shattered me.
Anand was supposed to meet me about 20 days ago, just before I was leaving for Dubai. Unfortunately, due to my busy travel preparations, I told him we would catch up once I returned. I never imagined that those words would become my biggest regret.
After coming back home, the first heartbreaking news I heard was about Anand’s demise. I couldn’t believe it. In disbelief, I called his number. On the other end, it was his daughter who answered. She calmly explained how Anand had suffered two heart strokes within a very short interval and how everything happened. Her words shook me to the core. At that moment, reality hit me hard.
Through this post, I want to say just one thing to everyone reading this.

Anand, you will always be remembered.
You will always be missed.
May your soul rest in peace.
Om Shanti. 🙏
I know Anand for quite some time. Miss you Anand
