Hello Friends,

Many of you already know that I started CDStories.in in November 2024 on the special occasion of Bangalore Pride. From the beginning, my goal was to build more than just a website—I wanted to create a community where people could freely express themselves through stories.

The response from the community has been amazing. I am especially grateful to the seniors of ICN for their encouragement and support. They even featured my work on their website and helped introduce CDStories.in to a wider audience. It is truly an honor and a privilege for me.

When I launched CDStories.in, I followed a few important principles:

• The platform should be a safe space for self-expression.
• Original writers should always receive proper credit for their work.
• Readers should be able to imagine themselves in the story without being influenced by images.

Because of this belief, I initially did not allow writers to upload images along with their stories. However, over the past several months, I received many requests from community members asking for this feature. After listening to your feedback, I decided to introduce it as part of CDStories.in 2.0.

Many users also requested features such as captions, memes, and other creative content formats. These are now available on the platform. While working on these updates, I thought, “If images can support stories, why can't images tell stories on their own?” This idea led to the creation of a brand-new feature called Visual Novels.

These updates officially went live on June 6, 2026.

During the update process, one of our young and talented contributors, Jerusha, reached out to me via email. She identified a few bugs and also pointed out an important feature that I had accidentally missed during the upgrade. Thanks to her valuable feedback, I was able to fix those issues as well. My heartfelt thanks to her for helping improve the platform.

AI-Powered Writer Dashboard

Writers now have access to an AI-based dashboard that provides insights into reader engagement and content performance. This feature helps creators understand what readers enjoy most. Since it processes a lot of information, it may take a little longer to load.

Reward Coins System

Every contribution made by a writer now earns coins. While the reward system is still in its early development stage, writers will begin collecting coins immediately for their contributions.

Follow Feature

Readers can now follow their favorite writers, helping creators build their audience and receive greater recognition.

Easy Sharing

Writers can share both their profiles and stories across social media platforms. At the same time, privacy remains a top priority. Content copying is not permitted, ensuring creators' work remains protected.

Free Access

All registered users can read the site's content completely free of charge. Registration is simple and absolutely free.

Better Reading Experience

To reduce eye strain, readers can choose from:

• Dark Mode
• Light Mode
• Sepia Mode

Customizable Reading Settings

Readers can adjust font size and font style using the settings icon available on every story page. The fonts used across the platform are selected to provide a comfortable and enjoyable reading experience.

You can now follow your favorite writers and show your appreciation through comments and engagement.
